Grill the Rich: Ballarat Socialists' Meet the Candidates BBQ

Ballarat socialists are hosting a BBQ for communities in Ballarat and the Central Highlands to meet their respective candidates, Chris, Taylor, and Andrew. Food will be provided at no cost and will include options for vegans, vegetarians, and for those who have other dietary needs. Feel free to bring a comrade and take some free food!
Socialists in the Central Highlands, from Maryborough & Ballarat to Ararat and Bacchus Marsh, want to bring a better alternative to the degrading quality of life that we all experience, where the median income for this region is $960 per week while the cost of groceries and fuel climbs, and housing is becoming more unaffordable for ordinary Victorians, where the average median rent is $240 per week and monthly mortgage payments are $1317!
This is why a socialist alternative is the only solution to the declining countryside. We will focus on building more public homes, cap food costs, tax the ultra-wealthy, and ensure all workers influence their jobs, regardless of whether that is in an office, store, or on the land.
We deeply encourage you to join the Ballarat and surrounding socialists for a BBQ where you can meet Chris, Taylor, Ben, and Andy, our candidates for Wendouree, Ripon, Eureka, and Western Victoria and talk to us or ask questions about the day-to-day troubles you face, including the cost of fuel, groceries, and housing, where a socialist alternative could help you!
